Video consultations with a men’s clinic for men across Gauteng

Video Consultations With a Men’s Clinic: An Option for Men Across Gauteng

Gauteng is big. A man in Soshanguve, Vereeniging or Carletonville may be more than an hour from Sandton in traffic. For some men, that distance is the reason they never get help. Video consultations with Sandton Men’s Clinic offer another way to start.

How a video consultation works

  1. Book as usual and mention you would like a video consultation.
  2. Choose a time. We are open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
  3. Join from a private room on your phone or laptop.
  4. Discuss your symptoms, health history and lifestyle with George Mulaudzi, Naturopath, and agree on a personalised plan.

Who it suits

  • Men in outlying areas such as Soshanguve, Mamelodi, Emfuleni, Merafong and Lesedi.
  • Men who travel often for work.
  • Follow-up appointments after a first visit in person.
  • Men who want to start the conversation from home before coming in.

When an in-person visit is better

Some things are easier face to face, and some situations need a physical examination or medical tests. If that is the case, we will say so and either invite you to the clinic in Buccleuch or refer you to a medical doctor. Many men do a first consultation in person and use video for follow-ups.

Privacy on video

Choose a quiet, private space and use headphones if others are nearby. Your consultation is confidential, as it would be in the clinic.

Prefer to visit?

The clinic is at the Buccleuch Interchange (N1, N3 and M1) with on-site parking and Marlboro Gautrain station nearby. Find your route on our Gauteng page.

Preparing for a video consultation

  • Find a private space where you will not be overheard, and use headphones if needed.
  • Check your connection and charge your device beforehand.
  • Have your information ready: medication, supplements, any recent blood results, and notes on when your symptoms started.
  • Write down your questions so nothing is forgotten.

What can and cannot be done on video

A video consultation works well for discussing symptoms, health history, stress, sleep, diet and relationship factors, and for agreeing on a natural, lifestyle-based plan. It is also useful for follow-ups to check progress. It cannot replace a physical examination or medical tests. If those are needed, we will explain why and refer you appropriately.
